Production of antifibrotic primed exosomes for use in ocular surface injuries
In corneal injuries, keratocytes in the stroma can transform into myofibroblasts as a wound-healing response. The irregular collagen they synthesize can reduce the light transmittance of the cornea and cause vision loss. This project aims to accelerate the healing process of corneal injuries, to provide antifibrotic properties to exosomes and to prevent keratocytes from transforming into myofibroblasts during wound healing and to produce mediators involved in the"scarless wound healing" model.
