Using AI algorithms for predicting keratoconus progression
The most common reason for corneal transplants in the developed world is keratoconus. However, progression of keratoconus can easily be prevented or slowed down using corneal cross-linking (CXL) therapy. Predicting the progression of keratoconus in the clinic is an important need; therefore, an attempt will be made to develop a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm that can predict keratoconus progression.
